Description
Throat Slave is a CD album by Squid Pisser, a band featuring members of GWAR, Duck Duck Goose and Starcrawler. It combines the band’s volatile intensity with a broader use of groove, atmosphere and dynamic tension.
The album marks an evolution in Squid Pisser’s sound, with guitarists Michael Armendariz and Raz Azraai bringing songwriting and performances that expand its sonic range. Its themes include identity, manipulation and self-examination.
Compositions such as “Prison”, “Leeches” and “Rats” lead into remixes that recast the material as electronic, industrial and psychedelic explorations. The remix contributors include Plack Blague, Hyper Gal, Drumcorps, Fartbarf, Ecology: HomeStones, dj Embryonic Petit Sac and KK Null.
