Seachem De Nitrate Remover - Removes Nitrates, Nitrites, Ammonia & Organics | 500 ml

The Seachem De Nitrate Remover is a specialized water treatment designed to significantly improve aquarium water quality by targeting harmful nitrogenous compounds and organic waste. Utilizing high porosity biological media, this 500 ml treatment facilitates the growth of anaerobic bacteria essential for effective nitrate reduction in freshwater and saltwater systems.

• Effectively removes nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, and general organics from aquarium water.
• Functions as a high porosity biological media, supporting beneficial bacterial colonies.
• Pore size is specifically optimized to encourage the development of anaerobic bacteria necessary for nitrate reduction.
• 500 ml volume can treat aquariums ranging from 100 to 200 litres, depending on initial nitrate levels and organic load.

For optimal performance, position the De Nitrate product in an area with sufficient water flow, such as within a bucket filter, chemical filter compartment, or a dedicated filter box. The recommended maximum current should not exceed 200L/h. If your system experiences higher currents, the use of Seachem Matrix or Seachem Pond Matrix is advised.

Nitrate concentration levels will begin to decrease within a few days of starting treatment. If initial nitrate concentrations are very high, it is recommended to first reduce the level through water changes before implementing De Nitrate treatment.
