Q: Will my clay shrink when it dries? Will it crack?
A: Once your newly crafted Hey Clay creation has dried for 24 hours, it will reduce about 10% in size and will not crack.
Q: Does this dry hard or is it squishy?
A: The clay will still hold some pliability and will not become as solid as a ceramic material would. But not to worry, your claymate will remain shaped and strong!
Q: Can I bake my character to make it hard and permanent?
A: Hey Clay is created to air-dry in about 24 hours and does not require baking or firing in a kiln as normal clay would.
Q: Is this product safe? Is it wheat/gluten free?
A: Hey Clay is non-toxic, wheat and gluten free. Adult supervision is recommended when young minds 3 and under are at play to prevent ingestion.
Q: After opening, what is the best way to store this clay?
A: To maximize unused Hey Clay life span, we recommend storing in it's original container at 41-86 degrees Fahrenheit and relative air humidity (60 +/- 20)%. Do not store in heat or direct sunlight. Do not put in oven, microwave, or kiln.
