Aesop Rock & Blockhead - Trouble Mountain [Vinyl]

Trouble Mountain is a full-length album by underground hip-hop artists Aesop Rock and Blockhead, pressed on vinyl. Their latest collaboration explores escape, survival and the strange terrain of everyday life.

Nearly three decades after beginning their creative partnership, the duo reunite on Aesop Rock’s 13th studio album. His inventive writing turns family history, work, memory and modern life into vivid reflections, while Blockhead’s lean, evolving production gives their familiar chemistry a newly exploratory sound.

Inspired by nostalgic Poconos resort commercials from their childhoods, the album imagines a fictional getaway where reinvention proves as disorienting as the life left behind. It revisits themes of labour, alienation and the hope of finding somewhere else to be.
