Description
Junior Wells leads this Chicago blues album, accompanied by Buddy Guy and Louis Myers on guitar, Otis Spann on piano, Earnest Johnson on bass and Fred Below on drums. This Deluxe Edition expands the album with five previously unissued performances and a 16-page booklet featuring previously unseen photos.
A follow-up to Hoodoo Man Blues, the album was recorded in December 1969 and January 1970. Standout performances include “Rock Me Baby”, an alternate take of “I Could Have Had Religion” and “Junior’s In Charge”, an eight-minute improvisational studio jam featuring Otis Spann.
The edition comes in a digipak with new notes by producer Bob Koester.
